WEBSITE AND APP UPDATE
Victoria’s Heartland website – important next steps
Following the launch of the website, we wanted to share a quick update with our industry partners and clarify a few key points about the new Victoria’s Heartland website.
While we’re incredibly proud of the new brand, website and visitor app, it’s important to note that the site is very much a work in progress. Over the coming weeks, we’ll continue uploading content and ensuring all business listings and information are accurate and complete.
Please rest assured that the Daylesford Macedon Life website will remain active until all content – including business listings – is live on the new site. In the meantime, we’ll keep adding fresh, relevant content that showcases what’s happening across the region.
Keep reading below to learn how to make sure your business is listed on the new website.
PARTNERSHIPS AND OUR WEBSITE AND APP
How Business Profile Listings Work on the New Website & the Visitor App.
The new website and visitor app take a direct feed from the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW).
- Engaged and Strategic Partners
Businesses with an Engaged or Strategic Partnership will automatically appear on the new website and in the visitor app via the ATDW feed, provided you have an active, up-to-date ATDW listing. Get help with ATDW here. - Connected Partners
If you are a Connected Partner, you’ll need to complete the business profile form by clicking the button below. Once approved by the team, your business profile will be published on the new website. More information about setting up your business profile can be found here.
If you’re unsure about your partnership level, or would like to upgrade, please get in touch. You can also view our Media Kit online here for more information about our partnership options.

WANT GREATER VISIBILITY ?
All Connected Partners have the opportunity to upgrade to an Engaged or Strategic Partnership. This means your business will appear across multiple platforms – including Tourism Australia, Visit Victoria and Victoria’s Heartland, and in some cases, council websites, with just one form to complete via your ATDW dashboard.
If you would like to discuss upgrading your partnership please email Cath info@dcvtourism.com.au
Thank you for your patience as we continue building a strong, cohesive platform for the region. We’re excited about what’s ahead and appreciate your ongoing support as we bring the new website to life.
SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATE
To support the launch of Victoria’s Heartland, we have partnered with social media content creators Nick and Laura to capture fresh, high-quality visual assets across the region.
Filming has now taken place across the Macedon Ranges, Hepburn and Mount Alexander shires, with Central Goldfields content filming scheduled for March. The content series is designed to showcase the diversity of our expanded footprint under the new brand.
This content is being rolled out across our social media platforms to support the new brand launch, with paid amplification to extend reach and drive visitation. The first reel in the series has already reached 22.7k views to date on Instagram alone, demonstrating strong early engagement and clear appetite for the new Victoria’s Heartland storytelling direction.
We’ll be expanding our campaign activity under the new brand in the months ahead. If you’re interested in being involved, please contact Sharon and we can keep you in mind for future opportunities.
CONSUMER COMPETITON
Our Sitchu competition is currently live across social media, supported by a dedicated Sitchu article and high-impact banner advertising. This activity is driving strong exposure for the region, reaching a highly engaged audience of travel-ready consumers and showcasing Victoria Heartland as a must-visit destination.
The campaign is also being amplified across Sitchu’s social media channels in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, extending our reach into key interstate markets.
Please feel free to share the competition across your planforms for extended reach – you can do this by reposting to your Instagram Stories.
The prize package is valued at over $6,000. Thank you to our generous competition partners: Mineral Springs Hotel, Lake House, Attwoods Wines, Shedshaker Brewing, Sault Restaurant Daylesford, Shizuka Ryokan, Think A Like, Woodend General, Hanging Rock Winery, and Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa.
