We’re seeing encouraging visitation trends as Victoria’s free public transport continues to attract visitors to our region. Our proximity to Melbourne remains a real advantage, especially alongside the beautiful autumn weather we’ve been having. While petrol prices are still a consideration, we’re tracking solid short-term growth and hope to see that continue with half-price public transport on offer from June until the end of the year.

CEO recruitment now live
This week we’ve begun recruitment for a permanent CEO. I’m working closely with our new Chair, Dianne Smith, and the board to find the right leader for our next chapter.
For those asking, I’m not a candidate. I’m three hours away in peak hour, and sustainable travel matters. The secret sauce for any prospective tourism CEO is being embedded in the region, part of the community, and a supporter of local business. I live on a beach too far away 😞
If all goes well, we aim to welcome our new CEO by July 2026. If you know anyone who may be interested, click the button for more details.
